CR Dining Table, Marie et Alexandre
Every year since the renovation undertaken by Jean-Marc Drut and Patrick Blauwart in 2008, Apartment 50 of the Cité Radieuse in Marseille has invited designers to take over the space, offering a contemporary interpretation of this listed building.
In 2024, designers Marie & Alexandre, supported by Galerie Signé, were selected to exhibit their work there. Around ten pieces make up this exhibition.
Among the objects on show, Atelier blam contributed to the development and manufacture of the CR Dining Table.
Made entirely from anodised aluminium, the piece uses a variety of deformation and shaping techniques to create a unique geometry. Numerous stamping tests were carried out to achieve the volumetric shape of the tabletop. The three counter-forms accommodate each table leg, creating a textile thread that resembles a draped covering.
