Stargate swing

Stargate, designed by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, plays with the abstract qualities and the universal aspect of a familiar object. The human element in his project are round-shaped lights that sit upon the minimalistic metal structure of this swing, adding a hidden playful notion. The process of refinement is central to the methodology – the lacquered aluminium structure utilises a technique that adds a protective, anti-corrosive layer to the metal.
