Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection

François Pinault entrusted the design of the Bourse de Commerce’s interior and exterior furnishings to Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Atelier blam collaborated with Studio Bouroullec on the technical development, fabrication and installation of the exterior works of the new plaza, the new urban elements, as well as the research and production of the interior furniture.

The public square features carefully choreographed curved tubes fabricated in aluminium-bronze, and three masts with mirroring flags indicate the new cultural space. For the interiors, we worked on the development of prototypes and the fabrication of the benches, signage posts and museum barriers, imagined by the designers specifically for the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection. The research and development for these pieces were marked by the search for the right materials and proportions, and the sensibilities they imply, to reflect the historical settings as much as the contemporary vibrant city of Paris.

Dedicated to contemporary art, this new museum was designed by Tadao Ando Architect & Associates, Niney et Marca Architectes, Agence Pierre-Antoine Gatier, and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
