Aeolus’ Garden, Lausanne Gardens

Anchored at the end of the Quai du Vent-Blanc, Jardin d’Éole reveals the invisible dynamics of Lake Geneva. This sensory installation stages the thermal breezes that sweep through Lausanne and its lake, highlighting their vital role in the face of climate change.

A ring-shaped structure releases a continuous curtain of water, creating a space of coolness and contemplation. As the winds disturb this delicate liquid membrane, they reveal their direction and intensity, transforming the landscape into a choreography in perpetual motion. A playful and poetic refuge, Jardin d’Éole gives form to the natural forces that shape the territory and invites reflection on the quality of dwelling in the future.
